The Southfield Parks & Garden Club will hold the 17th Annual Southfield Garden Walk on Sunday, June 23 from 2-5 p.m. The walk will feature eight different yards in the Tamarack/Hiawatha Neighborhood, located between Evergreen and Lahser roads, south of Ten Mile.  Participants can enter the neighborhood on Tamarack Trail.
 
Tickets for the Garden Walk are $10 and may be purchased on the day of the event or from the Southfield Mayor’s Office. There is no additional charge for parking or refreshments. The Garden Walk starts at the corner of Tamarack Trail and Tamarack Circle. Tamarack/Hiawatha is a lovely, wooded neighborhood of Mid-Century ranch homes.  Attendees are encouraged to walk the loop through the neighborhood.  For participants who would prefer not to walk, a shuttle bus will make a continuous loop through the neighborhood. Yards on display are clustered in several areas. 

The Southfield Parks & Garden Club started the annual garden walk to showcase some of Southfield’s beautiful and unique home gardens and garden art, to offer tips and ideas to homeowners, and to provide information on annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees and to promote Southfield’s housing stock. 

The Southfield Parks & Garden Club maintains trails in city parks, performs yard maintenance for the handicapped and elderly, and operates the Emmanuel Community Farm (all produce donated to Forgotten Harvest).
