Mayor Siver to deliver Southfield Housing Initiatives presentation at Southfield Community Coalition meeting March 14

Mayor Siver will share his Southfield Housing Initiatives presentation at the next Southfield Community Coalition meeting on March 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 26000 Evergreen Road.

The Mayor’s presentation will outline the goals of the housing support programs for Southfield neighborhoods, including:
• Maintaining attractive, safe neighborhoods;
• Improving public infrastructure;
• Raising property values;
• Assisting older residents with home/yard care so that they may remain in their homes longer; and
• Reducing or containing the number of rental homes. A Q&A period will also follow his presentation.

The Southfield Community Coalition was established in 2015 as a non-profit organization comprised of neighborhood and condominium associations and residents citywide. The Coalition works to create a cohesive Southfield community by bringing together Southfield’s active homeowner, condo and renter associations, strengthening these associations, and helping organize those neighborhoods without active associations.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Neighborhood & Information Center at (248) 796-5140, e-mail the Coalition at or visit
