The City of Southfield's CHORE program has been helping senior adults maintain their homes since its inception in 1983. Funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), CHORE provides an annual spending account for each income qualified senior adult household to be used for labor associated with lawn care, snow removal, window & gutter cleaning, minor plumbing, furnace and electrical repairs.

Seniors must meet HUD income guidelines.

OLHSA Senior Chore Program

In partnership with Oakland County and the Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency (OLHSA), the City of Southfield is pleased to provide and ARPA funded grant to create a responsive yard services program to meet the needs of older adults through a chore assistance program for eligible applicants.
