City of Southfield Offices and Library will be closed on Monday, October 9 in observation of Indigenous Peoples' Day. City offices will re-open for business on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. The City of Southfield celebrates and honors indigenous American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. Indigenous Peoples' Day is celebrated across the United States on the second Monday in October, and is an official city and state holiday in various municipalities including Southfield.

Please Note: there will be no delay in garbage or recycling pickup over the Indigenous Peoples' Day holiday.
