City of Southfield Offices and Library will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observation of Juneteenth. City offices will re-open for business on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Please Note: there will be no delay in garbage or recycling pickup over the Juneteenth holiday; however, crews are still behind related to the GFL Environmental sale to Priority Waste taking place on June 30, 2024. GFL Environmental, the City’s current refuse collection vendor, will be sold to Priority Waste effective July 1, 2024.  As a result of this recent and unforeseeable development, there may be delays in garbage and recycling pickup during this transitional period. GFL will continue to pick up garbage and recycling on residents’ designated days; however, there may be some fluctuation in pick up times. All other rules for curbside collection will remain the same.
