City of Southfield Storm Water Manager Brandy Siedlaczek, CSM, has been elected to serve as the president of the American Public Works Association (APWA) Michigan Chapter. The presidency is for a year and her term began at the annual conference on May 23, 2024.

The American Public Works Association (APWA) serves professionals in all aspects of public works—a fact that sets it apart from other organizations and makes it an effective voice for public works. With a worldwide membership of more than 31,500 strong, APWA includes not only people from local, county, state/province, and federal agencies, but also private sector personnel who supply products and services to those professionals.

The local chapter offers one of the most immediate, easy and cost-effective opportunities to exchange information with colleagues and to keep up-to-date on the latest public works technologies and management trends.
