There are countless families struggling with something that many people take for granted each day: transportation. Major car repairs seem to pop up at the wrong time and the associated costs can be a fatal blow to a family already struggling financially. To help families in need, Southfield Human Services co-sponsors the annual Tone Up for Tune Ups (TUTU) run/walks each May at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Southfield.
To help continue this effort, Chipotle Mexican Grill located at 26147 Evergreen Road will donate 50 percent of the proceeds from your purchase to help families in need on Tuesday, April 25 from 4-8 p.m. Bring the attached flyer, show the flyer on your smartphone or tell the cashier you are supporting Tone Ups for Tune Ups and enjoy a handcrafted meal for a great cause.
TUTU is a 5k run/walk or 1 mile walk for all ages that will take place on May 20 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 21575 West Ten Mile Road. All donations are tax deductible. The funds raised by Tone Up for Tune Ups go directly to qualified families screened by the Department of Southfield Human Services who need financial support to repair their vehicles. Southfield Human Services supports Tone Up for Tune Ups by managing the people that are beneficiaries of the event, filtering the money to needy families that have gone through an intensive qualification process.
