All proceeds will support the Friends of the Southfield Public Arts

The Friends of the Southfield Public Arts will host an Art & Vintage Fashion Show and fundraiser on Friday, May 16 from 7-9 p.m. at the former Skyline Club on the 28^th floor of 2000 Town Center in Southfield. The event will be hosted by special celebrity guest actor Selma Blair.

During the event, six artists will showcase their work including Michelange Francois-Hemsley, Lionnell Hurst, Jonathan Kimble, Carole Morisseau, Rosemary Summers, and Oshun Williams. The event will also feature vintage clothing, jewelry, and art available for sale.

The fashion show will feature 12 students from the Southfield A&T Dance Team who will model over 40 articles of vintage clothing from the 1940s through 1970s.  The couture is on loan from Fantoni, the Berkley vintage clothing store located at 4105 W. Twelve Mile Road.  The outfits on display were previously sold in the former high-end Detroit stores: Hudson’s, B. Siegel, Winkelman’s Himelhoch’s, Jacobson’s, Bonwit Teller, Claire Pearone, and Surwin’s.

Pre-sale tickets are $75 through PayPal at SFLDPublicArts@gmail.com or by check made payable to Friends of Southfield Public Arts. A limited number of special Selma Blair VIP Meet & Greet tickets will also be available to the first 25 respondents for $150 (also includes fashion show entry). The VIP Meet & Greet will take place before the fashion show allowing special guests the opportunity to personally meet Ms. Blair. Proceeds from this event will support the Friends of Southfield Public Arts, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to furthering public art projects throughout Southfield. All tickets purchased are a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of the Southfield Public Arts.

About Actor Selma Blair

About the Southfield Public Arts Commission

The Southfield Public Arts Commission consists of eleven members, six appointed by the City Council and five by the Mayor, serving staggered three-year terms. It meets monthly and advocates for, promotes, and helps install public artwork in Southfield, with City Council approval, to benefit the public through the arts.
