Pierce Street road resurfacing from Mt. Vernon to Stratford to begin August 26

The Department of Public Works will be starting a project to resurface Pierce St from Mt Vernon to Stratford by milling the existing concrete pavement and overlaying with asphalt.

Construction will take place on Monday, August 26, and Tuesday, August 27. The following traffic control measures will be implemented:

  • Pierce closed to thru traffic between Mt Vernon and Stratford.
  • New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania closed at Pierce. Stratford will be open at Pierce.
  • Residents with driveways on Pierce will have access on Monday. Please follow directions from the construction workers!
  • Residents with driveways on Pierce will NOT have access on Tuesday from 7 AM until construction is completed Tuesday evening. Please park on the streets off of Pierce.
  • NB and SB traffic detoured to Rutland.
