Southfield to host 1st annual Ghost Walk October 22

Walking tour will both enlighten and frighten!
The Southfield Historical Society, Southfield Public Arts Commission, Southfield City Centre and Southfield P&R and Planning Departments will host two Ghost Walks on Tuesday, October 22 at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. beginning at the Southfield Municipal Campus, 26000 Evergreen Road.
Guests are invited to enjoy a 3/4 mile, 75-minute walking tour of the Southfield City Centre featuring ghostly stories and lore from Southfield's history. Two tours are available: the first is at 6 p.m. with the second following at 7:30 p.m. Cider and donuts will be provided at the conclusion of the walk at Mary Thompson Farm.
The cost is $10/resident and $12/non-resident. Pre-registration is required at the Parks & Recreation Information Desk located at the Municipal Campus. Each walk is limited to 15 participants per time slot.
This Ghost Walk is most appropriate for participants 10 years of age and older. The event will be rescheduled to October 29 in the event of inclement weather. Proceeds will benefit the Southfield Historical Society and the Friends of Southfield Public Arts.
