Annual event honors service and sacrifice of military personnel

The city of Southfield will host the annual Veterans’ Day Ceremony on Friday, November 8 at 11:00 a.m. in Council Chambers, 26000 Evergreen Road. 

The City sponsors the annual event in partnership with the Southfield Veterans’ Commission to honor and recognize the service and sacrifice of military personnel. The ceremony will include remarks by Mayor Kenson Siver and Southfield Veterans’ Commission President Gerald Houston; a call for Veterans’ Tributes from the audience; a presentation by Southfield High School for the Arts & Technology Advanced Choir; a bugle rendition of Taps; and a 21-gun salute.
