Southfield Human Services and P&R to provide Emergency Food Assistance Program distribution March 17

The Southfield Human Services Department, in partnership with Southfield Parks & Recreation, will serve as a distribution site for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) on Wednesday, March 17 from 9-11 a.m. at Southfield Human Services Offices, 26000 Evergreen Road. Face masks and social distancing will be required.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a Federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. It provides food and administrative funds to States to supplement the diets of these groups.  Income-eligible Oakland County residents can pick up a box of nonperishable food by calling Southfield Human Services at (248) 796-4542 or email rterry@cityofsouthfield.com to be added to the list.
