Southfield Human Services to host senior dance September 14

The Southfield Human Services Department, in conjunction with the Commission on Senior Adults (COSA), the Southfield Total Living Commission and Southfield Parks & Recreation, will host a senior dance and soiree Thursday, September 14 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Dance Hall in the lower level of the Southfield Parks & Recreation Building, 26000 Evergreen Road.
Certified dance instructor Maurice Adams of Mr. Smooth Ballroom Company will be at the event teaching dancers of all skill levels, beginner, intermediate and advanced, how to line dance and hustle from 7:30-8:30 p.m. with club ballroom instruction following from 8:30-9:30 p.m. All styles of dance are welcome throughout the entire event. Music will be provided by Rick Love and light refreshments will be served.
Advance tickets are available at Southfield Human Services for $6 for residents and $7 for non-residents. Tickets purchased at the door will be $7 for residents and $8 for non-residents. High School students (16 years-old and older) can purchase tickets for $3. Ten percent of proceeds will benefit the Southfield Human Services Emergency Relief Fund.
