Southfield/Lathrup CROP Hunger Walk set for Sunday, April 14

The city of Southfield, in partnership with Lawrence Technological University and Lathrup Village, will sponsor a CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, April 14 beginning at 2 p.m. from Lawrence Technological University, 21000 West Ten Mile Road.
Registration for the Southfield/Lathrup CROP Hunger Walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the one or three-mile walk following at 2 p.m. Twenty-five percent of all donations from the CROP Hunger Walk will benefit Southfield Human Services’ Emergency Food Program, Meals on Wheels and Forgotten Harvest. To donate or register for the walk, visit www.crophungerwalk.com/southfieldmi. Donations of any amount can be contributed to the Human Services team.
CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service (CWS) and organized by local groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world. Local organizations can receive up to 25 percent of the funds raised by each CROP Hunger Walk. Southfield Human Services has received over $12,000 in funding since 1999 from CROP Hunger Walks.
