The Southfield Parks and Recreation Department will host a Kids Concert featuring Miss Paula and the Candy Bandits on Wednesday, July 19 from 12-12:45 p.m. on the Southfield Municipal Campus front lawn, 26000 Evergreen Road.

Miss Paula and the Candy Bandits is a family-friendly band that performs candy-coated punk rock music for kids and adults alike. Led by Detroit-based songwriter and guitarist Paula Menssner, also known as “Miss Paula,” they have released two albums and one children’s storybook compiled of Miss Paula’s favorite original children’s songs. Some of Miss Paula clever and quirky tracks include “Stand Right Up (Sit Back Down),” “Simon Says,” “Monster Truck” and “Pizza Song.” 

Miss Paula and the Candy Bandits will bring a great show for the whole family to enjoy. Pack a picnic lunch and bring your own lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on while you enjoy the concert, but be prepared to sing along, dance and have fun.
