The Southfield Parks & Recreation Department will host the Summer in the City concert series on select Fridays from June 24 – July 29 from 7-9 p.m. on the front lawn of the Southfield Municipal Campus, 26000 Evergreen Road.

This free, family-friendly event will celebrate summer with food trucks, activities for kids and outdoor concerts from an eclectic mix of artists. An assortment of the area’s best food trucks and other food vendors will be onsite beginning at 6 p.m.

The 2022 Summer in the City concert lineup includes:

• Friday, June 24 – The Circle of Sound Band will perform an eclectic blend of R&B, Funk and Pop with food available for purchase from Cornbread Restaurant & Bar food truck, Motor City Treats food truck and Shelly’s Hot Dog.

• Friday, July 8  – Angela Davis will perform soul and R&B favorites with food available for purchase from Biellis Catering food truck, Motor City Treats food truck and Shelly’s Hot Dog.  

• Friday, July 22 – 313 The Live Experience will perform a mix of old and new school R&B, hip hop, and pop music with food available for purchase from Biellis Catering food truck, Motor City Treats food truck and Shelly’s Hot Dog.  

• Friday, July 29 – Straight Ahead virtuoso jazz ensemble will perform with food available for purchase from Biellis Catering food truck, Motor City Treats food truck and Shelly’s Hot Dog.
