Additional events to take place June 15, July 20 & August 17

The Southfield Police Department, in partnership with Kroger, the Southfield Public Library and Friends of the Southfield Library, will host Badges & Books on select Thursdays May through September from 4-6 p.m. in the Kroger parking lot, 23675 Greenfield Road.

The event will be hosted in the Police Mobile Command Unit where children, infants through young adults, will have the opportunity to come aboard and select a free book donated by the Southfield Public Library and Friends of the Southfield Public Library. Officers will also provide tours of the mobile command unit and its many features.

Badges & Books is scheduled for May 18, June 15, July 20, August 17 and September 14 from 4-6 p.m. Books are in limited supply and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
