The Southfield Police Department and partners will pass out gently used books for infants through young adults on March 1 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., March 4, March 11 and March 20, from 5-7 p.m. and March 29 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Meijer store located at 28800 Telegraph Road (corner of Telegraph and 12 Mile). Additionally, the police department will also be passing out free gun locks at the event. Books and gun locks will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

The Badges & Books giveaway is sponsored in partnership with the Southfield Police Department, Meijer, the Southfield Public Library, and the Friends of the Southfield Public Library in celebration of Reading Month in March.
