The Southfield Parks and Recreation and Human Resources Departments continue to actively recruit, train and certify lifeguards to safely open the pool at the Southfield Sports Arena. Like many aquatics centers across the country, the City has had difficulty in hiring enough lifeguards to safely operate at our regular capacity. We appreciate your patience while we continue this effort in hopes of opening on Monday, July 12. Please continue to monitor the P&R Facebook page and the City of Southfield website for further updates regarding the opening, scheduling and programming opportunities at the pool.
