Southfield Veterans’ Commission to host Informational Seminar May 13

The Southfield Veterans’ Commission will host a free Veterans’ Informational Seminar on Saturday, May 13 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Southfield Parks & Recreation Building (Room 115) 26000 Evergreen Road.
The program is open to all Southfield military veterans and spouses and will provide an overview of several veteran service organizations and benefits offered to veterans and their families. Topics covered will include: VA system entry process, medical benefits, Student Veterans of America, survivor benefits, education benefits, and burial benefits. Representatives from the VA Medical Center, Veterans’ National Cemetery, Michigan Veterans’ Affairs Agency, and Oakland County Veterans’ Services will present information and be on hand to answer questions.
