The State Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, August 7 at 18 precinct locations throughout the city. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The primary ballot will include candidates for Michigan governor, U.S. senator, members of the U.S. House of Representatives, state House and Senate members, and judicial posts. The State General Election will be held on November 6, 2018. The last day to register to vote for November General Election is October 9, 2018. Michigan election law states that voters must be registered to vote 30 days prior to an election.
