Mayor Kenson Siver will provide overview of past year as well as vision for the future

Southfield Mayor Kenson Siver will deliver the 2019 State of the City address at the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on Monday, March 18 at 12:15 p.m. at Regency Manor, 25228 W. 12 Mile Road.

Registration and a plated lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the State of the City Address at 12:15 p.m. The event will include Mayor Siver’s overview of the past year as well as his vision for the coming year and beyond. Lathrup Village Mayor Kelly Garret will provide an update on Lathrup Village. Beaumont President of Outpatient Services, Constance O’Malley, will also give brief remarks. The State of the City will include the annual update from the Chamber of Commerce featuring Executive Director Tanya Markos-Vanno and the introduction of the 2019 Chamber Board of Directors.

The event offers guests the opportunity to network with local business owners, residents and city of Southfield staff and elected officials. Tickets are $50 per person for Southfield chamber members, $55 for non-chamber members including lunch. Tickets will not be available after March 13.

The 2019 Southfield State of the City Address is presented by Beaumont and sponsored by the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Lawrence Technological University, the city of Southfield, Ascension Providence and Denso.

Mayor Siver will hold a Community State of the City address on Thursday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The Community State of the City address will provide residents an opportunity to hear a re-cap of the Mayor’s remarks. The event is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited so please plan to arrive early. A reception with light refreshments will immediately follow in the lobby of city hall.
