The planned updates to the city of Southfield’s phone system have been postponed until further notice. More information will be forthcoming on when it will be rescheduled. 

On Friday, February 22, 2019 at 9 p.m., the City of Southfield’s telephone system will be transferring from PRI lines to IP Flex. This transition may take up to three (3) hours for all of the city phone numbers to port over to the new system. This WILL NOT AFFECT public use of the 9-1-1 emergency telephone system; however, all (248) 796-XXXX city phone numbers (including fax lines) will be intermittently down during the porting process. For police and fire non-emergency, please dial 248-354-1010 during this upgrade window. All numbers should be fully ported and functioning by Saturday, February 23 at 8 a.m.
