The city of Southfield will announce the winner of the 2018 Southfield Photo Prize at an awards reception on Wednesday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 26000 Evergreen Road.

The city of Southfield sponsored the 2nd Southfield Photo Prize competition and outdoor exhibition this summer to showcase the natural and architectural beauty throughout the city. Nearly 200 submissions were received and initially reviewed by the Total Living Commission which selected the top 25 photos that were eligible for public voting from June 13 – August 31. The Photo Prize finalists were enlarged and placed on public display at city hall and the parks & recreation building with online voting at www.cityofsouthfield.com. The photograph that received the most overall votes will be featured in the City’s 2019 calendar. The other finalists may also be featured in the calendar and other city marketing materials. All Photo Prize finalists will also receive their enlarged photos to keep.

The ceremony is free and open to the public; however, attendees must RSVP to Community Relations at lcarr@cityofsouthfield.com or 1-248-796-5130 by October 4. Light refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony.
