Southfield Human Services and P&R to provide Emergency Food Assistance Program distribution September 13

The Southfield Human Services Department, in conjunction with the Southfield Parks & Recreation Department, has become a distribution site for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

 

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a Federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. It provides food and administrative funds to States to supplement the diets of these groups. Income-eligible Oakland County residents can pick up a box of nonperishable food by calling Southfield Human Services at 1-248-796-4542 to be added to the list.

 

The next distribution date will be Wednesday, September 13 from 9-11 a.m. at the Burgh Church, 26080 Berg Road.
