City of Southfield to hold Town Hall on Roads June 15

The city of Southfield will host a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, June 15 from 6-8 p.m. at the Southfield Public Library (26300 Evergreen Road) to discuss Southfield roads.

 

The Town Hall will provide residents with more information regarding how the City’s road bond dollars are being spent as well as an overview of upcoming road construction, water and sewer projects. Panel participants will include Mayor Kenson Siver, City Administrator Fred Zorn, City Engineer Leigh Schultz and Public Works Manager of Operations Larry Sirls.

 

In November of 2014, city of Southfield voters approved a Street Improvements Bond Proposal for up to 2.58 mills (two dollars and fifty-eight cents per $1,000 of taxable value) to pay for up to $99 million in road construction bonds spread out over eleven years.
