Oakland County Michigan Works!, in partnership with the city of Southfield and the city of Oak Park, is hosting its second virtual, multi-industry career fair on Tuesday, January 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Participants are required to register online for this event in advance at https://app.brazenconnect.com/a/Michigan/e/l5Pmw.
“The Southfield & Oak Park business communities are eager to get back to business, and this virtual job fair creates an opportunity for our residents to discover new employment prospects close to home,” said Rochelle Freeman, Business and Economic Development Director for the City of Southfield. “We have assembled companies offering a range of employee opportunities for all skill levels. Many of the companies will be conducting interviews on the spot as they are excited to hire.”
The free event will allow job seekers a unique opportunity to virtually meet with over 30 employers in a range of industries. Large employers including Beaumont Health, Kroger, and Oakland County will be in attendance with multiple openings to fill immediately. “This countywide career event is designed to assist our residents seeking employment opportunities, as well as our local businesses searching for qualified workers,” added Kimberly Marrone, Director of Economic Development for the City of Oak Park. “Our regional economy is currently in need of support for both.”
