Project Eligibility for Allocation of American Recovery Fund Monies
The City of Southfield is seeking public input for allocation of $9.8 million received in Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (also known as American Recovery Funds) as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The intent of fund allocation is to provide eligible governments with a substantial infusion of resources to meet pandemic response needs and rebuild a stronger, more equitable economy as the country recovers.
Several City departments (such as Police, Fire, Emergency Management and Public Works) have submitted projects to City Administration for consideration of funding eligibility; however, the City is also seeking public input for consideration. To participate, click on the following link which will be open for input and feedback from Wednesday, September 1, 2021 through Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
