City of Southfield Police & Fire Departments to hold College & Young Adult Night information forum August 9

The Southfield Police and Fire Departments will host the 1st annual College and Young Adult Night on Tuesday, August 9 at 6 p.m. in the Southfield Pavilion, 26000 Evergreen Road.
The forum will provide attendees with important and potentially lifesaving information about health, safety, and legal issues for all young adults, college students and parents. Some of the many topics covered will include:
- Emergency 911
- Dorm and Kitchen Fire Safety
- ATM Safety
- What to do when stopped by the police
- Police search of personal items
- Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Minor in Possession (MIP)
- Narcan Training including free Narcan Kit
- Fentanyl Strips - free with training
Information and staff will also be available from Families Against Narcotics, Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities, and Oakland County Health Division.
