All proceeds will benefit the Southfield Public Arts Commission and public art installations throughout Southfield

Mayor Kenson Siver and the Friends of Southfield Public Arts will host a special fundraiser May 19-21 at the historic EdgeRiver Farm Barn located at 23410 West 12 Mile Road in Southfield.

The historic EdgeRiver Farm dates back over 150 years and was in a state near total ruin when the current owner purchased the property several years ago. Since that time, the barn and property have been lovingly restored and repurposed for modern use as a one-of-a-kind event space. The fundraiser will be held Friday, May 19 from 7-9 p.m., Saturday, May 20 from 2:30-4:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 21 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Forty tickets are available for each date for $100 each which includes wine, hors d'oeuvres and a tour of the historic barn with the owner who will share about its unique history and the painstaking restoration effort that has taken place. Each event will also include a silent auction and a special thank you gift for each guest.

All proceeds will benefit the Friends of Southfield Public Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering public art projects throughout Southfield. All donations (including ticket costs) are tax deductible. Tickets are available for purchase through PayPal at SFLDPublicArts@gmail.com or checks made payable to Friends of Southfield Public Arts can be mailed to the City of Southfield, c/o Mayor’s Office, 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield, MI 48037-2055. If paying by check, please indicate which date you would like to attend. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Southfield Public Arts Commission was established in 2015 to advise the City Council on matters affecting public art in the city. The goal of this commission is to create a stimulating environment that reflects and enhances the City's heritage, diversity, and character through public artworks integrated in the architecture, infrastructure, and landscape.
