The park is still open to the public; only the fishing pier is affected. Thank you for your understanding!

The new pathway through Lahser Woods Park, linking the neighborhood with Young Israel of Southfield synagogue, Stevenson Elementary School, and Lahser Road has been paved. This path marks the first phase of a project that will transform the park into Southfield's first dog park!

A new pathway now links the Nine Mile Road sidewalk to the park, offering easy access to the picnic shelter and playground. Additionally, construction has begun on a $7 million renovation project. The plan includes a redesigned entrance, parking lot, playlot, restroom facility, picnic shelter, and the replacement of the old maintenance building.
