Summer in the City, free outdoor concert series
2024 season kicks off on June 28!
Enjoy a beautiful summer evening with great music, food trucks and more on the front lawn of the Southfield Municipal Campus.
There is no admission fee however refreshments will be available for purchase. The concert will begin at 7 pm. Please call (248) 796-4620 for more information.

Southfield Parks & Recreation Department proudly presents the return of the Gazebo Concert Series at the picturesque Burgh Historical Park. The series kicks off on Tuesday, July 9, and will continue every Tuesday evening from 7 pm to 8:30 pm through July 23.

Gather your friends, family, and neighbors, grab a lawn chair or blanket, pack a picnic dinner (please, no alcohol), and come enjoy a wonderful evening of live music under the stars. These concerts are free and open to the public, offering a perfect opportunity to experience great music in a charming, historic setting.

July 9 – Notorious (R&B/Soul)
July 16 – Alise King (R&B/Soul)
July 23 – Angela Davis (R&B/Soul)
The Burgh Historical Park, located at the northeast corner of Civic Center Drive and Berg Road, provides a scenic backdrop for the series, with its historic charm. Free on-site parking is available for your convenience.

The City of Southfield and City of Oak Park have entered into an intergovernmental agreement that will allow Southfield residents to use the Oak Park Pool throughout the summer at Resident rates. You must show your ID at registration to receive the Resident rate. Payment for Oak Park Pool programs is by cash only.

The Oak Park Pool is located at 14300 Oak Park Blvd. (between Greenfield and Coolidge) and features zero depth entry and a splash zone for the kids to enjoy. Call them at (248) 691-7555 for more details on any of the programs mentioned below.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:00-7:00 pm

Friday 1:00-8:00 pm

Saturday & Sunday 1:00-6:00 pm

Open Swim Daily Rates
Resident rates apply to residents of Oak Park, Ferndale, Hazel Park, and Southfield. You must show your ID at registration to receive Resident rate.
Payment for Oak Park Pool programs is by cash only.

• Ages 3 and Under FREE

• Ages 4-54 $4 per day

• Ages 55 & Up $3 per day

Southfield Days at the Oak Park Pool are special times set aside for Southfield residents to enjoy time at the pool together. Southfield Days feature free admission for Southfield residents (you must show ID) along fun activities and free refreshments for the first 40 residents at each Southfield Day.

Summer 2024 Parks & Recreation Activities Guides Are in the Mail!

Summer fun is on the way with the newest edition of Parks & Recreation Activities Guide! Information on Summer Day Camps for the kids, all our free outdoor concert series, and fun, new programs are included. Keep an eye out for the guide in your mailbox!

There have been changes to programs since the guide was sent to print.
The CPR and AED Training (page 33) scheduled for Tuesday, July 16 has been moved to Tuesday, July 23 at the same time and location.
