Washington Heights Water Main and Road Improvements

CONTRACTOR HOLIDAY SHUTDOWN: December 22, 2023 thru January 8, 2024

$16.5M investment funded by Southfield’s Local Street fund and the Water & Sewer Bond Fund

• All public water main is to be replaced with C909 PVC pipe
  • Water service will be disrupted during the project, advance notice will be provided via flyers on front doors
• Significant stormwater improvements will include ditch enclosures and greatly improve the historical drainage problems in the neighborhood
• Roads are to be reconstructed in asphalt or concrete after water main and storm work is complete
  • Partial or total driveway approach replacement, as required due to construction

Due to the long duration and large project area, flyers will be distributed 1-2 weeks ahead of starting in any given area.
